First UDL Session Announcement

We are delighted to announce the first of two Universal Design for Learning (UDL) sessions at MICER24 in Belfast on 15th May. Delivered by Tracy Galvin (Ulster University) and Margaret Flood (Maynooth University) this interactive workshop gives perspective on UDL, primarily in Tertiary Educational contexts. As such, this session may well have broader appeal outside of Chemistry Education Research so share with your colleagues.

The session will consist of a brief overview of version 3.0 of the UDL framework that is about to be released from CAST as well as how it can inform educators and those who support learning to embed inclusive practices across multiple learning environments. Participants will discuss how the flexibility of the UDL framework can inform their learning, teaching and assessment practices. The second part of the workshop will be how the framework can inform professional practice through reflection and research across disciplines through the UDL lens.

As pre-reading and pre-session activity Tracy and Margaret have shared:

That is now 5 of our 6 sessions announced for MICER24. We will announce the final session (a second session on UDL) next week with only a few weeks to go.
